" We aim to make the lifestyle transition from home routine to living at our home as seamless as possible "

We are committed to providing only the highest standards of care to support our Residents' independence, dignity, security and quality of life. We form lasting bonds with our Residents and their family members and many relatives have been kind enough to write offering their thanks for the care we provided.

Below are some of those we have received:

"Sincere thanks for all the care and attention you gave Mum throughout her final years. You could not have done more to make her stay with you as comfortable and stress free as possible. You're all angels!"

"Although you did not have a long acquaintance, I can assure you that you and your staff all gave mum enormous assistance during the time she spent with you in November. I was quite nervous about collecting her, not knowing how she would have got on. I was thrilled to hear that she had enjoyed her stay and had no complaints! Mum had enormous respect for your knowledge and professionalism. That in turn gave her a lot of confidence that she would be well looked after, happy and safe for the planned three week visit in February.  "

"Just wanted to thank you for looking after us so well on our recent visit to see my sister. It was good to see her in such a comfortable and professional place with such friendly staff. Sending love to you all "

"Dear Sue, Jackie and all the Staff at Grove Mount. Thank you for looking after me so well. After a couple of days it was like living with a house full of friends, without exception you were all so kind and caring. Thank you again."

"To Sue and all the staff at Grove Mount Care Home. Very many thanks for the care and kindness that you gave my Father. It is pleasing to know that in the end he regarded Grove Mount as his home and for that my sincere thanks.

"To all you wonderful, wonderful people at Grove Mount, we can't find words to thank you for all you did for Dad, you quite literally made his last years joyful and a pleasure. Thank you so very much."

"To all the Grove Mount staff, Mum has memories of kind people, lovely nails and social times! Best wishes."

"Many thanks to everyone who helped make ... stay such a lovely memorable one. We can't thank you enough for the care you have given "

"Thank you all so much for looking after my sister with love, care and kindness when she was Grove Mount. She was very happy with you and felt quite 'at home' not 'in a home'. You made her feel useful by letting her help with small tasks she was able to do safely and that meant a lot to her. We shall miss her greatly but glad to have happy memories to cherish.

"Thank you seems totally inadequate to how grateful and appreciative I am of the wonderful care and consideration that you gave to my dear mother "

"A BIG thank you for all the love, care and kindness you give. Best wishes "

" A big 'Thank You' to you and your team for looking after and caring for Dad so well. All the best "

"Dear Sue and the wonderful staff at Grove Mount, we would like to thank you all for your care and attention you gave to Dad. Nothing was too much trouble for you, day and night. We really appreciate your loving care. Dad was happy in his time with you all. As he said, 'Home not a Home'. Endless thanks "

"We are all extremely happy with the way Mum is being looked after, as is she. Aside from her memory lapses she has that 'young girls' laughter back in her voice - excellent! (after all my research and insistence upon her moving) "

"Thank you for the care and comfort ... received in Grove Mount - may you continue your good work making more of our mature generation contented and safe."

"Believe it or not, it was one year ago today since ... came to live in Grove Mount. We will never forget the kindness and care which she received in your care and often speak of you and your colleagues. We do intend to call in and say hello, but I am still a little sensitive on the subject of losing um. The best saying I have come across is 'Sometime memories fall out of y eyes and roll down my cheeks'. We send our best wishes to you and the Grove Mount team."

"Dear Sue & Staff, a huge thank you to everyone for the compassionate care you showed Mum during the past 9 ½ years. Your patience and understanding have been wonderful. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the girls to do to help Mum, and all I can say again is a great thank you from all the family. Warmest regards."

"Dear Sue, The caring advice which you have offered in helping mum to settle into Grove Mount has been invaluable. After four years of acting as mum's carer, it could have been very difficult to relinquish our role however, the relationship which you have established, together with personal attention to detail, has made the transition a smooth and trustworthy one."

"With many thanks for your kind and loving treatment of my mum whilst she was in your care. She could not have been in a better place."

"My aunt was a Resident in Grove Mount Residential Home until she was admitted to hospital at the end of the year. She'd been there for two years since she became unable to look after herself. I would like to thank all the staff for looking after her so well and making it a home from home for her. I visited her infrequently, as my personal circumstances have been restrictive, but always felt welcome and that I was entering a large but loving family environment. I'm sure that my aunt wasn't an easy, co-operative member , but I felt Mary and all the staff loved her, for the glimpse into the past of nursing that she gave them. Their feelings became obvious to me, promising that they'd pop over and see her when sadly I had to move her to a nursing home."

"Please take this letter as my testimonial as to the way ... was looked after whilst in the care of Grove Mount. During her 2 ½ years as a Resident she was cared for in a very dignified and caring way. The staff could not have been kinder to her and at all times her needs were catered for. Lots of little extras appeared to be done for her which I noticed. The staff were very attentive not only to her but also to myself thus creating a very homely atmosphere. Please extend my sincere thanks to all of your staff for the compassionate care she received thereby enabling her to live life to 100 years."

"Thank you and all your staff for the friendly, kind care you gave to Auntie ... whilst she was with you. Although she grumbled a bit she did appreciate the care and kindness she received and I think there was a spell where she was happier than she had been for many years in her own home. Please pass on our best wishes to your staff and also to the friends she made amongst the other residents."

"I should like to put on record how grateful I am for your and your staff's continuing, compassionate care for my mother over the eight years. You all go 'the extra mile' in your care, and whatever time of day I come to visit Mum there is always a friendly, cheerful atmosphere. Mum really is very lucky to have found such a homely place."

"Dear Mary and all members of staff, our grateful thanks for the wonderful care you gave to ... and the kindness you showed to us as a family. we always felt welcome when we visited her. On the days when we couldn't visit, we had peace of mind knowing that she was being well looked after."

"A huge thank you to you the manager and all your team at Grove Mount who looked after Mum so very well during her time with you ... not only was she looked after in a most professional manner but also with a great deal of compassion and dignity which meant so much to her and to all of us in the family ... we all appreciated that her final two years were made as comfortable for her as they could possibly have been."

"... thank you all again for the amazing care that you took of my aunt ... You were all amazing and I will forever remember you all."

"Mum enjoyed and was truly delighted with her last couple of years in the Home whilst we as visitors appreciated immensely how we were all treated."

"Moving to Grove Mount was one of the best decisions Mr. J ever made. He took on a new lease of life after he arrived. The staff not only cared for him brilliantly but also became his friends and Grove Mount became his home. There is no doubt that without the care and attention he would not have reached his 100th birthday."
